What to do if the Haystack News app crashes or freezes

If the Haystack News app is crashing, freezing, or not opening, follow these steps.

Step 1: Basic fixes

  1. Force close the app and reopen it.

  2. Restart your device β€” turn it off completely, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on.

  3. Check for updates β€” make sure you have the latest version of the app installed.

  4. Uninstall and reinstall the app β€” this resolves most crash issues.

Step 2: Platform-specific steps

  • iPhone / iPad: Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Haystack News > Offload App, then reinstall from the App Store.

  • Android: Go to Settings > Apps > Haystack News > Storage > Clear Cache, then restart the app.

  • Smart TV: Check for app updates in your TV app store. If unavailable, uninstall and reinstall the app.

  • Roku / Fire TV: Remove the channel and re-add it from the channel store.

If the app still crashes
