How to enable Closed Captions (CC)?
Updated over 3 weeks ago

At Haystack News, we are committed to providing our users with the best possible experience. That's why we offer closed captioning (CC) across all our platforms for our live content and other videos when it's provided by our publisher partner.

How to Turn Closed Captioning On/Off

If you would like to turn closed captioning on or off while watching a video on Haystack News, simply follow these steps:

  1. Start playing any video in full-screen

  2. Look for our CC button in the player controls

  3. Enable it. The button will turn yellow when enabled

  4. You will start seeing the video with CC (when available)

Extra tips:

  • Where available, you can activate or deactivate the CCs by pressing the CC button on your remote control or through device settings.

  • For Roku devices, Newsline and CC cannot be shown at the same time. To show the CCs while Newsline is running, use the CC button or the Fullscreen button.

Things to take into consideration:

  • We offer CC on live videos and other videos when our publisher partner provides them.

  • The CC being displayed depends on the video provider

  • There may be some segments that don't offer CC, like ads. If you still cannot get CC when enabled, please send us a message at feedback@haystack.tv
